Tim Baldwin, president, and members of the Music City Powerboat Association is pictured here presenting a $5,000 check to Scott Weeks, commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9851 here in Hendersonville. The money was raised during the MCPA's "Haulin on Old Hickory" event took place August 2nd which had over 45 high powered boats participating while stopping off at 5 different locations on the lake. The funds raised will be deposited in the Post's relief fund where 100% is being set aside to aide veterans, their families and our community

16th Annual Operation Stand Down Event
The 16th Annual Operation Stand Down Event has been scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 17, 18 and 19, 2008 at a location to be determined. It will either be back at the NG Armory or at the TN State Guard Facility where it was held last year.
